he Charleston County Council will met on Thursday, May 2 to review the Kiawah River Plantation (KRP) Tax Financing (TIF) proposal. Colin Cuskley, Johns Island Conservancy executive director gave the “Citizen’s Presentation”. The Council Finance Committee voted not to pass the proposal onto the other taxing jurisdictions (School District, St. Johns Fire Dept.). The full Council then voted unanimously to deny the TIF thereby defeating the proposal.
