Students from the University of Georgia alternative spring break IMPACT Program will be visiting the Charleston area in mid-March.   The Kiawah Island Community Association and the Johns Island Conservancy will be hosting a group of the students for an afternoon lecture on the dolphins of the Kiawah River followed by a field trip out to Captain Sam’s Spit, hopefully to see some strand feeding.   The students visiting the Charleston area will be focusing on “Animal Advocacy” and will also be visiting Pet Helpers.   If you know of any school groups; elementary, high school or college, or civic groups that would like to hear about Johns Island history or the Kiawah River dolphins have them contact us and we will be glad to give a presentation.   Education is a key part of our mission.
